Eagles agree to contract extension with Jason Kelce

You can put those rumors of Jason Kelce retiring away for a few more seasons after the Eagles announced a contract extension for their All-Pro center.

Kelce has started 73 straight games under center for the Birds, and after the Eagles were eliminated from the playoffs, he was noncommittal on how long he’d continue to play. A two-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro, Kelce has played in the 4th-most games (110) by a center in team history, trailing only Chuck Bednarik (169, 1949-62), Guy Morriss (158, 1973-83) and David Alexander (124, 1987-94) per Jon Gonoude of Eagles public relations.

Kelce was slated to have a $6.5 million cap hit this season, but likely got more money and a bonus to help clear salary cap space for the Eagles.
