The NFL is just an hour away and with most draft boards completed, The Eagles Wire is delivering the final mock draft of the year. This edition — created on The Draft Network’s mock draft machine — allowed us to try to create a realistic scenario of what could actually happen tonight for the Eagles.
With no immediate needs at several positions, we drafted the best available player while adding a wealth of talent to a championship roster.

25. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida
The ball-hawking safety could become Jim Schwartz own swiss army knife in the secondary, able to play the deep middle or slide into the slot and take away a bigger wide receiver or tight end.

53. Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
The Gamecocks star was the fifth-leading receiver in the SEC this season with 62 catches for 882 yards (4th) and 11 touchdowns (2nd). He also led the conference in kick return average (24.78 yards) and was responsible for the only returned kick in the SEC this past season.
Samuel, who finished his career with 148 yards, 2,076 yards, and 23 offensive touchdowns, would immediately help the Eagles.

57. Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame
Tillery isn’t a player that teams will necessarily trade up for, but the former Notre Dame defensive tackle is definitely a first-round talent who could slip to the second night of the draft. Tillery is quick off the ball and can excel as a pass rusher and against the run.

127. Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State
Hill has breakaway speed – and could be the perfect weapon for Carson Wentz, regardless of Darren Sproles returns or not. At Oklahoma State, Hill had 41 plays of 20-plus yards in college, and even more impressive, had zero drops and zero fumbles.
Hill rushed for 3,539 yards and 30 touchdowns in his three seasons.

138. Michael Jackson, CB, Miami
Jackson came to Miami as a four-star recruit, He found his way into the starting lineup as a junior, tying for the team lead with four interceptions. Jackson also had 43 stops, three for loss, and five pass breakups on the year. Jackson garnered honorable mention All-ACC honors as a senior, starting all 13 games, posting 42 tackles, 3.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks, and six pass breakups.

163. Donnell Greene, OT, Minnesota
Greene is a Big, powerful tackle with a prototypical frame who is a bulldozing run blocker.

197. Blace Brown, CB, Troy
Brown is the nephew of famed Heisman Trophy-winning running back Herschel Walker. A first-team All-Sun Belt performer in 2017, starting 11 of 12 games (33 tackles, five interceptions, one interception returned for TD, six pass breakups). He suffered a torn ACL that kept him out of the team’s bowl game but managed to return for his senior season. In 2018, Brown played in all 13 games, starting the final seven (44 tackles, 1.5 for loss, one interception, six pass breakups) to garner second-team all-conference honors.
