Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham is facing more legal trouble after a loaded gun was discovered in his backpack in the X-ray machine at the Miami airport, according to several reports. Bradham was arrested on a misdemeanor concealed weapons charge and was released on bail.
Even though Bradham has a concealed weapons permit, he faces the charge because the permit did not authorize him to take the weapon into an airport, according to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel.
"We are aware of the report regarding Nigel Bradham," the Eagles said in a statement. "We have been in communication with Nigel and the authorities regarding the situation. As it is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time."
There is still no resolution from a July arrest for aggravated battery charges stemming from an altercation in which he allegedly hit a Miami hotel employee. There is another hearing scheduled this week, Bradham said Monday.
Bradham practiced with the team Monday and spoke to reporters, but that was before news broke about the latest arrest.
A starting linebacker, Bradham has 10 tackles and one interception this season. He signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the team in March.
