Eagle eyed viewers catch hilarious moment in background of RTE Eamon Ryan interview

Another piece of Irish television gold was caught on camera this week.

But only the most observant of viewers would have spotted the moment a jogger takes a tumble in the background of an RTE interview with Green Party leader Eamon Ryan.

Since the nation was put on coronavirus lockdown people up and down the country have taken up jogging to get out of the house and stay active.

And during The Week In Politics, a keen exerciser can be seen out on their run.

They run from right to left of the camera, disappearing behind a car before emerging the far side of Ryan's head, and stumbling their way to the ground.

Wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts, the jogger falls flat on the footpath before picking themselves up, clutching their back and walking around the corner.

If there was ever an advert for staying at home and watching Netflix with a takeaway instead of taking to the streets and shaking off the muscle cobwebs, this is it.

The video has become an internet hit with one viewer commenting: "Please tell me I wasn't the only person seeing the jogger fall behind Eamon Ryan."

Another said: "Poor jogger falling flat on his face in the background of Eamon Ryan's interview on The Week In Politics but he bounced up quickly."

The video has been viewed thousands of times on Twitter after being posted on Sunday evening.
