Eagle-eyed readers spot 'chairmam' typo in Graham Brady's statement announcing no confidence vote

Twitter users spotted a typo in Sir Graham Brady's announcement of a no-confidence vote

Eagle-eyed readers have spotted an unfortunate typo in Graham Brady’s statement announcing a no-confidence vote in Theresa May.

The Prime Minister has been summoned to see the chairman of the 1922 Committee after he received at least 48 letters from Conservative MPs calling for the vote.

In a statement, he said a ballot will be held Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm in the House of Commons.

“The threshold of 15% of the parliamentary party seeking a vote of confidence in the leader of the Conservatives Party has been exceeded,” he said.

"Chairmam" typo spotted in Sir Graham Brady's announcement of a no-confidence vote in the Prime Minister

Comedian Joe Lycett pointed out that, in signing the statement, Sir Brady misspelled his own title.

It reads: “Sir Graham Brady MP, Chairmam of the 1922 committee.”

Today, Mrs May has today vowed to fight on as PM.

She said she would contest her leadership "with everything I've got.”
