Eagle eyed NHS nurse leads police to major drugs bust after spotting bag of Wotsits

A vigilant NHS nurse led police to a huge drugs bust after spotting a 59p bag of Wotsits with drugs inside.

The shocking discovery led to a major police drugs bust in the Black Country, West Midlands.

Instead of tasty baked goods, staff were surprised to discover that the Wotsits crisp packet was stuffed with a haul of illegal narcotics.

The heroic NHS nurse intercepted the stash which had managed to make its way into the building.

Police were called to the hospital on April 10 and destroyed the stash, reports Birmingham Live.

Officers shared a picture of the finding on social media after it was intercepted by the medic.

Photos show the 'really cheesy' crisp packet alongside syringes, needles and sachets of 'Vit C' sterile ascorbic acid.

The force tweeted: "Officers from West Bromwich Police attended a hospital today where an eagle-eyed NHS nurse had intercepted a packet of crisps with a hidden surprise inside.

"Suspected class A seized and destroyed."
