Eagle-eyed Leeds fan spots Marcelo Bielsa's reaction to Jack Harrison's goal vs Leicester

Marcelo Bielsa has always been box-office viewing on the touchline during Leeds United games and the Argentine manager was particularly enjoyable to watch on the weekend.

Bielsa was his usual frantic self inside his technical area at King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon, switching from his favoured squatting position to nervous pacing throughout.

Thankfully he did not have too much to be anxious about, with Leeds putting in one of their best performances of the season to record a deserved 3-1 victory.

Bielsa gives a Leeds United injury update

Harvey Barnes gave Leicester an early lead with a well-taken low finish following a one-two with James Maddison but the Whites didn’t let the goal slow them down.

Stuart Dallas produced a brilliant finish on the run after being found by Patrick Bamford, before Bamford made it 2-1 with a superb left-footed thunderbolt past Kasper Schmeichel on 70 minutes.

Leicester pushed for an equaliser, but Leeds maintained their shape and settled it after 84 minutes with a decisive counter-attack, which is where Bielsa comes in.

Leicester’s corner broke down and Mateusz Klich sent Bamford racing clear from the halfway line and the Whites striker selflessly squared the ball for Jack Harrison to tap in the away side’s third goal after sprinting the length of the pitch.

Once he had made the ground up it was a simple finish for the Manchester City loanee, but that didn’t prevent a nervous grimace from Bielsa, whose expression was spotted by Tom Banks on Twitter.

“Bielsa is well and truly Leeds now,” he wrote in the video caption. “Look at the panic in his face as Harrison faces the simple task of putting the ball into the empty net. One of us.”

The performance earned Leeds a second successive Premier League win and moved them onto 29 points from 20 games.

The Whites, who are just four points shy of the top six, are now preparing to face Everton at Elland Road on Wednesday.

Bielsa confirmed that Rodrigo was being assessed after being taken out of the Leicester game with an injury, while Bamford and Raphinha are expected to be fit following more minor knocks on Sunday.
