Eagle-eyed GMB viewer spots epic spelling blunder during Alfie Boe interview

One eagle-eyed Good Morning Britain fan spotted a rather embarrassing blunder on Wednesday's show and couldn't resist sharing it on social media.

Before 6.30am, showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold spoke to Alfie Boe about his upcoming performance at The Savoy Hotel in London.

Alfie appeared on the ITV breakfast show via video link, but it seems the person in charge of doing the strap line may have been feeling a little sleepy this morning.

Underneath Alfie's name it said "Oprah singer" instead of "opera singer" and it didn't take long for one GMB viewer to notice.

Taking to Twitter, one fan of the show shared a snap of the spelling faux pas and wrote alongside it: "You had one job... #GMB #alfieboe #oprahsinger #EpicFail."

However, Richard didn't seem to notice as he spoke to 47-year-old Alfie about his upcoming performance this weekend at the iconic London hotel.

Asked why he had decided to do it, Alfie said: "I chose the Savoy because of a couple of charities I work for for The Savoy but also I have a long-standing relationship of being able to perform there many times.

"Also, they have such a rich history in music, the amount of classic stars, music stars, Hollywood stars that have stayed at the hotel, and they have so many stories to tell.

"So I wanted to pinpoint some of those characters like Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, and tell some stories about their life at The Savoy and what it entailed and the antics they used to get up to," Alfie added.

He will be joined by Gary Barlow, Amanda Holden, Freddie Fox and Jason Manford for the upcoming gig on April 10.
