Eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans point out Rita's St George's Day 'gaffe'

It's been a miserable Easter for The Rovers, who barely managed to garner a profit throughout the holiday period.

Luckily, Rita Tanner was on hand during tonight's Coronation Street to offer Jenny some sound advice... too bad her dates were a little mixed-up.

Rita and Paul arrived in the pub for some drinks and Jenny instantly tried to upsell.

Unfortunately, Rita wasn't having any of it.

Sighing, Jenny said: "I was hoping we would be busy for Easter. I've got all this food in - I'm going to have to put it in the freezer now!"

Rita appeared to have a light bulb moment as she said: "What about St George's Day? You can start planning it this week!"

"You know what, that's not a bad idea," Jenny exclaimed.

But eagle-eyed Corrie fans weren't so easily impressed as they pointed out that St George's Day is actually tomorrow.

One tweeted: "#Corrie st George's day is tomorrow rita lol."

While another questioned: " Isn't St George's day tomorrow?"
