Eager to see that Tesla pickup? Elon Musk says you'll need to wait a bit longer

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has called his company's first electric pickup the "coolest car" he has ever seen.

And you'll have to take him at his word about that for a little longer: The public debut of the Tesla pickup is going to happen later than originally thought.

Musk must have had some free time over the weekend, because he got onto Twitter to response to a query from someone who was hopeful that the pickup would be unveiled by the end of October. Musk had to disappoint that person _ and anyone else expecting the Tesla pickup to appear by Halloween.

"November most likely," was Musk's response.

Tesla has given out few details about its first pickup, other than some superlatives from Musk at various events. He previously said at Tesla's shareholder meeting this year that "hopefully" the truck would be out this summer; he also flashed what he called a "teaser pic" of the truck when the company held an event for its upcoming Model Y vehicle earlier this year.

A Tesla spokesperson said the company didn't have any more information about the truck at the present time.
