EA Sports teases return of college football video game series

The day has finally come.

After nearly a decade without a new college football video game, EA Sports posted on social media Tuesday, teasing to the return of the beloved franchise.

Notably absent from the title is “NCAA,” which may have something to do with how EA Sports will navigate licensing issues with college football’s governing body. Lawsuits related to player likenesses were the driving force behind the franchise being halted after “NCAA Football 14,” which was the last installment.

So, while the details are still unclear, this is definitely something worth celebrating for every football fan and gamer out there who has spent way too much time on this franchise over the years, and has only been keeping that poor, loud XBox 360 around for one reason all this time.
