Title Update 3 or Patch v1.0.4 for EA FC 26 is going to be out soon, or probably out by the time you are reading this. The patch is supposed to go live sometime between October 8 and 9, 2025.
Much like the previous Title Updates, this one is also going to bring a lot of big changes to gameplay. We already have the patch notes, and they have reworked a lot of the stuff fans had been requesting.
Here are the patch notes for Title Update 3 or v1.0.4.
EA FC 26 Title Update 3 Patch Notes

The full patch notes aren’t out yet, but we have the main updates already because of an unintentional leak.
The EA FC 25 Title Update 3 patch notes are:
- Addressed cases of players not being able to perform Physical Tackles, especially instances that occurred when the player had specific PlayStyles (eg, Bruiser)
- Reverted the kick-off defensive positioning change in v.1.0.2, but only in Authentic Gameplay mode.
- Addressed instances of Finesse Shots curling opposite the intended direction.
- In some cases, a Trivela Shot could have occurred instead of the requested Finesse Shot.
- Players could have sometimes pulled out of blocking animations too early (eg, a player sticking their leg out to block a shot).
- Improved the Be a Goalkeeper experience.
There are major bug fixes like players not being able to tackle, the inconsistency in Finesse Shots, and buggy intercepts. They also reverted the kick-off defensive positioning change they implemented in v1.0.2, which a lot of people complained about. The changes are only for Authentic Gameplay mode, though. Make sure your settings are sliders are configured for realism if you truly want to enjoy Authentic Mode.
This update should improve the gameplay significantly and fix the annoying bugs currently plaguing the game.
