EA FC 26 is finally here, and that means it’s time to get into all sorts of madness — meta gold players, Season Pass, and of course, Ultimate Team. There’s a lot of new stuff on offer here, from new icons to free packs. But some simpler, more mundane things haven’t changed, such as naming or renaming your club.
Ultimate Team veterans will know that you can use the Ultimate Team Web App to get a head start on their UT journey. The app allows you to manage squads, work the transfer market, and open packs. Unfortunately, people are having trouble right now in early access, from being unable to open packs to straight-up getting kicked. Another restriction is that you can’t change/rename your club.
Can You Change Club Name In The FC 26 Web App?
The simple answer to this is, no, you cannot. The web app doesn’t offer this functionality, so you’ll have to wait for early access to go live and change your club name in-game. Once you do get into the game, you can change your club’s name by following the steps below. If you want to earn the reward for renaming your club, we’ll discuss an alternate method after this.
- From the FC 26 home screen, select Ultimate Team.
- In the main Ultimate Team menu, use your controller’s bumper buttons (RB on Xbox, R1 on PlayStation) to navigate to the Settings menu.
- Inside the Settings menu, find the Rename Club option and click it. Now, just simply rename your club and add a three-letter abbreviation.
That’s the basic way to do it, but if you want to earn a consumables pack as a reward, here’s the alternative way you should follow:
- From the main Ultimate Team menu, press the left trigger (L2 on PlayStation, LR on Xbox) on your controller to open a menu.
- Scroll down till you get to Objectives, and from the Objectives menu, go to the Foundations tab.
- Scroll down to Club Maintenance, select Change Club Name, and change your club name from here.
Of course, this means that you will need access to FC 26 on your system to do all this. If you’re reading this before early access, you’ll just have to wait. Sorry, we wish we had better news for you. But unfortunately, EA has deemed it a requirement to actually be on the game in order to change your club name.
