I don’t know about you, but I still value a good video game soundtrack. In the days of streamers disabling licensed music in a game’s menus to avoid copyright strikes on Twitch or other streaming platforms, I still enjoy firing a game up and hearing the soundtrack that the curators found appropriate to set the tone. Think back to the days of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, or WWE SmackDown vs. Raw — these games aren’t just popular for their mechanics and awesome gameplay, but are known for the great, anthemic tunes they came with as well. The EA FC series (formerly known as FIFA) is no different.
Over the years, EA Sports’ popular football sim has been a mixed bag in terms of reception and player feedback. But, from a soundtrack perspective, the EA FC/FIFA series has always been pretty on point. To this day, I still bump “Darkest Ocean” by All Tvvins, which was one on the FIFA 16 soundtrack. The same can be said for “Erase” by Cautious Clay, which was among the many tracks on FIFA 20 that stood out. And now, it’s time for EA FC 26 to show people what its soundtrack has in store.

Now, 84 songs in one game is a lot. But, already, some stand out. Bad Bunny is obviously one of the biggest artists in the world, whose music transcends language barriers. So I expect his contributions to bang. Teddy Swim and BigXThaPlug’s “All Gas No Brakes” is also present, and I’ve been big on X for a bit now.
Overall, I’m really excited to see what everything sounds like
