Since the Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage on Monday, a majority of gaming services and websites are still facing issues with connection stability. EA FC 26 is no different, and EA Sports officially confirmed matchmaking issues in Ultimate Team and Clubs on Twitter. A couple of hours after the tweet, the account replied back stating the issue has been addressed. Unfortunately, some players are still having issues.
A Rough Start To The Week For FC 26 Players
Just yesterday, EA extended the Silver Superstars League Event after similar matchmaking and reward tracking issues. They bumped up the number of matches you can enter in the event from 20 to 35, and moved the end date to October 24. Players aren’t just suffering issues from traditional Ultimate Team matches though, as the Rush mode continues to have issues as reported by players on Twitter. Even when players are able to get into matches, some highlight how loading times are incredibly long right now.
EA Sports has yet to speak on the root cause of the issues, and you might think that the AWS outage is somehow related to the situation. However, the AWS service health page indicates there are no currently ongoing issues with their services, so this is likely an internal error at EA. The EA Server Status page also lists all their services as working and online, though, so I’m as lost as you are as to what’s happening here. EA is likely still working on issues in different regions, so you can only hope they fix it soon.
So, if you keep experiencing issues with FC 26 today, just know that you’re not alone. I also had some issues with Battlefield 6 yesterday. Online gaming just doesn’t seem to be reliable this week, especially since residual effects on servers are still present.
