A building of the National Academy of Construction (NAC) would be inaugurated on Monday as the Collectorate of the newly formed East Godavari district, headquartered at Rajamahendravaram. The building is nearly 8 km away from the district headquarters. According to an official release, the new Collector K. Madhavilatha will inaugurate the building and start administration from there on Monday. It will have almost all the government offices. Ms. Madhavilatha will also take charge as the Collector on Monday.
Meanwhile, Aiswarya Rastogi assumed charge as the Superintendent of Police of East Godavari district here on Sunday. Mr. Rastogi earlier served as Urban SP of Rajamahendravaram city.
Mr. Rastogi told the media that the five-year crime profile of the newly added mandals would be studied to prevent the crime rate, apart from preparing an action plan to control road mishaps.
