Dylan Thomas centenary - books podcast special

Widely known for just a few poems, one great radio drama, Under Milk Wood – and being a drunk – there's a lot more to discover about the bardic Welsh poet, whose centenary is being celebrated this year.

Steven Morris travels to Dylan's birthplace, Swansea, and Laugharne, the seaside town he later made his home which now holds a festival in his honour, to gather memories from devoted readers and the people who knew him as a neighbourhood character.

Back in the studio, Guardian poetry editor Nicholas Wroe talks to his biographer Hilly Janes about his current standing in the poetry world, and the wild man myths that have grown up around him.
