Dylan Tait's "fight" to get into the Hibs first team witnessed an important step today as he reported to training for the first time.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who signed from Raith Rovers on a four-year deal at Easter Road in the summer but was immediately loaned back to the Kirkcaldy club for six months, is seen as a top talent.
Hibees boss Jack Ross will be able to get a closer look at Tait to see if he's ready for Premiership football as he continues to impress for John McGlynn's Fifers in the second tier.
The youngster sees it as a "fight" to prove he can make the switch from Stark's Park to the capital and is relishing the opportunity to take a further step on the road to feeling like a fully-fledged Hibs star.
“I spoke to the gaffer at Hibs [Ross] and he just wants me to go in and do my thing, work hard and impress them,” Tait told the Courier.
“Then, when I go there in January, I can fight to get in the Hibs team.
“As of this week, I’m going in Monday and Tuesday with Hibs and then training here [Raith Rovers] on Thursday and Friday.
“From Monday onwards I will feel more like an actual Hibs player, rather than just on loan — because I’ve not really been there much.”
