Dylan Levitt reveals Jesse Lingard helped with loan decision at Manchester United

Manchester United youngster Dylan Levitt has revealed that he spoke with Jesse Lingard before leaving the club on loan again this summer.

The Wales international spent last season on loan with Charlton and Croatian outfit Istra 1961 in the second half of the campaign to help them avoid relegation. He returned to Old Trafford this summer and took part in pre-season, before joining Dundee United on a season-long loan for the current campaign.

But after his first two appearances and another trip to the national team, Levitt has revealed that conversations with current first-team star Lingard have made his loan experiences easier and explained what Manchester United want him to do while away from the club.

“The first loan took me out of my comfort zone. Once you have been on one loan, you get used to the experience," Levitt told Dai-Sport.

“Jesse Lingard is quite close to the young players at United. He’s been through quite a few loans and he speaks well to the younger players about what it’s all about.

“United want me to try and express myself as much as possible, to try and get as much game time as I can and experience different styles of football. Scotland is quite a physical style of football, so it is different.

“United have a very strong squad at the moment, but they recognise that I’m getting called up my country and they keep in touch with me every week. They ask me how life is going.”

Wales take on Belarus and Estonia during the international break, before Levitt will return to Scotland and hope to make an impression in the Scottish Premiership.
