Dylan Levitt reveals his legendary Manchester United inspiration

Manchester United youngster Dylan Levitt has revealed that club legend Paul Scholes was his hero when he was growing up.

The young midfielder is known as the 'Welsh Xavi' by a number of his teammates, but it is another legendary midfielder who he adored when he was a child.

Levitt is similar to Scholes in that he is a fine passer of the ball and United are already impressed with the strides he is making in the senior game.

Taking part in an Instagram Q&A on Tuesday night, the teenager was asked about his idol growing up and simply answered 'Scholes' followed by the goat emoji.

The 19-year-old has made one senior appearance for United in his career, featuring for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in their defeat to Astana last year.

However, he is already a regular in the senior Wales set-up under Ryan Giggs and is aiming to impress the United legend over the coming months.

When asked what his international hopes were for the next year the midfielder had no hesitation about aiming big and said 'he hopes' to be part of the squad for the European Championship in 2021.
