Dylan Levitt nears Dundee United transfer as Manchester United rising star set for Tannadice loan

Dundee United are closing in on a deal for Welsh international Dylan Levitt.

United are in talks over a loan for the Manchester United youngster as the work to bolster the squad continues after the sale of Lawrence Shankland.

The Tannadice outfit are hoping to tie up the deal quickly as they look to bolster their options in midfield.

Tam Courts has said he is close to a couple of signings and it now appears a hot commodity of Carrington will head north.

United have agreed a deal to sign Ilmari Niskanen and also want Levitt to join him as part of a double signing ahead of Sunday's visit to St Johnstone.

Levitt has had loan spells at Charlton and Croatian side Istra and he can play in central midfield or further up the pitch closer to a striker,

The 20-year-old has nine Welsh caps and United hope they can give him the platform to build his international profile further.

The deal to sign Finnish winger Niskanen from Ingolstadt has been agreed and will be completed when a work permit is issued.
