Dykes up top? Tierney at right back? Choose your Scotland team and formation for double header

The Scotland squad for the upcoming Nations League double header was announced earlier this afternoon, and debate is already raging as to how Steve Clarke should line his men up.

Should Kieran Tierney start at right back or on the left side of a back three? Will Lyndon Dykes be given the nod up front? And does Ryan Jack deserve a starting place in the centre of midfield?

24-players were selected for the matches against Israel and the Czech Republic next month, with ex Hearts keeper Jon McLaughlin and former Hibs midfielder John McGinn among those included.

However Jambos skipper Steven Naismith was left out due to his lack of game time of late, while Easter Road full-back Paul McGinn failed to make the final cut.

Dykes and Livingston loanee Robby McCrorie have been called up for the first time.

The full squad is as follows: David Marshall, Robby McCrorie, Jon McLaughlin, Liam Cooper, Declan Gallagher, Scott McKenna, Stephen O'Donnell, Liam Palmer, Andy Robertson, Greg Taylor, Kieran Tierney, Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Christie, John Fleck, Ryan Jack, John McGinn, Callum McGregor, Kenny McLean, Scott McTominay, Oliver Burke, Lyndon Dykes, James Forrest, Oli McBurnie, Lawrence Shankland.

Scotland face Israel on Friday September 4 before taking on the Czech Republic on Monday September 7.
