Dwyane Wade would take bits from Westbrook, George to add to his game

Dwyane Wade has become one of the best shooting guards to have ever played the game but even the future Hall of Famer will admit there are certain attributes from other players that he’d still like to add to his game.

With Wade set to make his final appearance in the All-Star Game Sunday night, the Miami Heat guard was asked what pieces he would take from other players to add to his game.

Thunder players Russell Westbrook and Paul George made the cut.

I’d take LeBron’s mind. I’d take Paul George, just his flair of the game. I’d take Kyrie’s handles. I’d take Kawhi Leonard’s hands. I’d take Westbrook’s athleticism. I’m trying to think of all the players. I would take Embiid’s personality. I would take something from each player. I would take Giannis, his height, his lift, his Euro steps. I’d take all those things.

Wade and George have become great friends over the years. George included Wade in his free agency special that aired last summer on ESPN and the two players even swapped jerseys earlier this month in Miami.

After that game, George praised the career of Wade and said the three-time champion played a huge role in his development as a player and George even said he wants to mimic Wade off of the court, too.

Wade also was very complimentary of George’s season.

He’s been playing phenomenal basketball. I’ve said it plenty of times, that’s my favorite player. I love watching P.G. play. Obviously, you put 40-something up on us, that’s not what I wanted but I just enjoy watching that guy play the game of basketball on both ends of the floor. He had it going and they kept finding him. It was a loud, quiet 43. He wasn’t gunning. He wasn’t forcing anything. He was just playing in the flow of the game.

The Thunder still have one more game against Wade and the Heat on March 18 so it’s shaping up to be a memorable matchup for Wade and George as the two friends square off for the final time.
