Dwyane Wade feeling 'very good' about World Series bet with LeBron James

The bet is on.

A couple of them, actually.

Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade said he feels confident he will win a pair of bets with former teammate and NBA superstar LeBron James following the Chicago Cubs' 5-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians in Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday night.

Via a video earlier this week, Chicago native Wade extended a bet to James, the Cavaliers forward who is from Akron, Ohio, and after the Indians won Game 1 on Tuesday, James responded via Twitter (at)KingJames, "I accept (at)DwyaneWade!! 1-0 (Hashtag)RallyTogether."

The terms of the bet were that the player whose team loses the World Series must show up in full baseball uniform of that team the next time the NBA players are in their opponent's city.

Following the Bulls' practice Thursday in Chicago, Wade said he feels "very good about being 1-1. It was tough because we made the bet and they were up 1-0 right away. But we're in a good place now."

Wade said the loser will have to showcase the winner's favorite baseball team in full regalia.

"You have to come in looking like one of the players for sure," Wade said. "I'm talking about glove, bat, whatever you decide. You have to come in with everything. It's going to be cool.

"It was just something friendly," Wade continued. "We got two parts of that, one friendly one that we thought was cool and we got another one where we send each other certain cases of wine depending on who wins or loses as well. It's just cool, just friendly banter back and forth and getting involved in the excitement that's going on in both cities. It's cool to have that."
