It has been a busy year for Mairead Ronan, and she is in for another hectic week as she prepares to move house.
The Dancing with the Stars winner is the midst of packing up the life she created near Glasnevin as she prepares to move to her dream home in Clontarf with husband Louis.
She told RSVP Live: “We move next Friday, I have the craziest week ever.”
“The packing up has already started, we pack the kids away tomorrow- not in a box, they are off to my parents.
“We have so much to do. We have to clear it out because it is rented and it needs to be ready for the landlord,” Mairead adds.
It will be an emotional few days for the RTE broadcaster and she says it's the end of an era.
“Dara and I moved into that house on our own and Louis joined us maybe a year later. And then Murphy the dog joined and Eliza and Bonnie came along.
“It has been a good house for us,” she explains.
The mum-of-three continues: “I will be closing the door happy with the time we have had there. I have always felt that it has been a lucky house for me but I cannot wait to get to our home.
“We are going to something that is ours and we don’t ever have to move out unless we want to.”
And the new place has one major benefit, according to Mairead: “Storage space, storage space and more storage space. Never estimate the power of storage space.”
Mairead was on hand to officially launch the new Curragh racecourse and summer season of racing ahead of The Grand Opening Weekend this weekend.
Going to the races in the ideal choice for her because it is family friendly and the new grandstand can protect her hair.
She explained: “It is beautiful. It feels really luxurious, but everyone can come and families are welcome. We can all go and there is something for everyone.
“The grand stand is completely covered which is ideal can I get fuzzy hair when it rains. Being covered in a lovely plus".
