DWP Cost of Living payment update for people who didn't get any money

Earlier this year, the Government confirmed millions of people would receive hundreds of pounds in cash to help with the cost of living crisis.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is in charge of delivering the payments, which people started to receive from September 20. You may be entitled to the payment if you are in receipt of attendance allowance, disability living allowance, PIP, and some other benefits.

But many people who are eligible are still waiting on the money arriving in their bank accounts.

These people are now being urged to make a report if their payment has not yet arrived.

Gov.uk says you can report a missing Cost of Living Payment if you think you should have had one of the following payments but you cannot see it in your bank, building society or credit union account:

  • £326 or £324 Cost of Living Payment for a low income benefit
  • £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment

People are asked to only make a report once, and Gov.uk says they will be in touch as soon as possible. Earlier this year, the DWP warned there “may be potential delays for a small minority of cases due to their unique characteristics”.
