The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Christmas bonus details have been released, detailing who is eligible and when it is due.
Those who receive a State Pension or disability payments will qualify for the payment which is expected in December.
It is made up of single tax-free payment of £10 and paid to everybody who receives qualifying benefits in December, the Daily Record reports.
Claimants who are eligible for the bonus will receive funds automatically from the DWP and do not need to get in touch in order to claim it.
The payment will appear alongside the reference 'DWP XB' in claimants' bank statements.

The bonus will be sent separately from the regular monthly benefits sum and is likely tobe received on a different day.
GlasgowLive reports the DWP confirmed the Christmas bonus on Friday and said eligible claimants will receive letters telling them when it will be paid.
The DWP said: "People who receive pension or disability benefits will receive a tax-free Christmas bonus of £10. The payment will be made before 25 December, and paid directly to customers’ bank or building society.

"Letters will be sent out by the Department to inform people when they will receive their £10 bonus."

Those who are entitled to the Christmas bonus should be living in the UK or the areas listed below.
Other areas of eligibility include Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, any European Economic Area (EEA) country, or Switzerland where recipients must have lived between December 6 and 12.
