Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Taps Into Booming NIL Market For Latest Venture

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson continues to tap into sports investments, and he’s going to the college route to promote his latest one.

The XFL owner has chosen seven student-athletes to promote his energy drink “ZOA Energy,” and they will also be part of The Rock’s annual NIL program called “The Rock’s Warriors,” according to a report by Forbes.

Some of the most notable names on the list include NCAA Women’s Basketball national champion Angel Reese from LSU and Hansel Enmanuel of Austin Peay State University. They’re joined by Amaya Gainer of Florida A&M Softball as well as four football players in Brock Bowers (University of Georgia), Drake Maye (University of North Carolina), Kam Kinchens (University of Miami), and Marvin Harrison Jr. (Ohio State University).

Reese, Maye, Harrison Jr., and Enmanuel are all within the top 15 NIL earners, according to On3 NIL’s valuation metrics.

More NIL:

“Through this first-of-its kind NIL expansion program, ZOA Energy will bring together some of the greatest college athletes of our time,” Johnson said. “I personally selected these phenomenal individuals because of the energy, tenacity, and excitement they bring to the game. With a diverse set of stories and experiences, they’re driven, hungry, talented, and ready for ZOA to help fuel them to greatness.”

The student-athletes will be included in an upcoming marketing campaign for the brand across social media platforms and will be part of different national and regional events promoting the brand.

ZOA Energy’s products include energy drinks and pre-workout supplements.
