Dwayne Haskins won’t attend 2019 NFL draft

Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins is a popular name alongside the Cincinnati Bengals right now for a few different reasons.

He’s also a prominent first-round prospect in the 2019 NFL draft.

But he won’t be in attendance.

According to Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz of USA Today, 23 players will attend the draft. Quarterbacks Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Kyler Murray will attend. Haskins won’t.

Odd timing, as Haskins has been involved in speculation he could fall down the board farther than expected — which prompted us to wonder if the Bengals should take him at No. 11 if he’s in a freefall.

Billy Price sure likes the idea.

If the Bengals do decide to pluck Haskins off the board if he falls, he apparently won’t be there to don the team’s hat and give an interview.
