Dwayne Haskins pleaded for one of his WRs to be selected by the team that took him. Wish granted

Talk about living out a dream. Not only did Dwayne Haskins get selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the team as close to his home as any in the NFL, but he also got another big wish to come true.

Just before the draft, Haskins sent out a Tweet to any NFL teams that were watching, pleading for one of his wide-receivers to be selected right along with him. Well, that plea has become a reality with the Redskins picking one of his favorite targets from last year, Terry McLaurin.

That’s right — @TheTerry_25 will be heading to our Nation’s Capital along with the quarterback that dropped dimes in his lap all of last year. Of Haskins fifty touchdown passes and 373 completions, McLaurin caught eleven (TDs) and 35 (completions) of them.

Now, we don’t know if the Redskins were paying attention to this desire or not, or if Haskins lobbied for it, but either way, it’s about as cool as it gets to share your dream with a friend and teammate.

The Redskins were also quick to point it out after a response from Haskins. That folks, is Washington winning the day.

Maybe the Redskins are taking a page out of the New Orleans Saints model of success by going to the Buckeye well often. Why not?
