We know the Denver Broncos will add a fourth quarterback to their roster this offseason, we just don’t know who it will be. Perhaps the team is eyeing Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins?
During an interview with Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com earlier this week, Haskins said the Broncos were among five teams that have shown the most interest in him this offseason.
“The Raiders, the Redskins, Broncos, Dolphins, and the Giants,” Haskins said. “Those are the teams who have shown the most interest in me.”
Two of those teams — Oakland at No. 4 and New York at No. 6 — own higher selections than Denver in the draft. If Haskins makes it past the Raiders and Giants, he would be a logical selection for the Broncos.
During his pre-draft visit at the team’s facility earlier this month, Haskins wore a throwback John Elway jersey. Maybe that humorous gesture will pay off for him?
The first round of the draft will begin at 6 p.m. MT on Thursday.
