Dwayne Haskins is still getting accustomed to NFL practices

Washington’s rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins is starting to get more accustomed to practice in the NFL, and along the way, comfort is beginning to grow.

On Monday, after the 10th day of training camp, Haskins met with the media and explained some of the things that have helped him over the first week-plus of training camp. Whether it’s figuring things out from his mistakes, picking the brain of older players, or finding positions on the field where he’s most comfortable, Haskins is learning the things necessary for him to succeed.

Haskins and the rest of the quarterbacks for Washington will find out their role concerning the first preseason game tomorrow. In a preseason depth chart released by the team, Haskins was listed as the third-string QB, so don’t expect him to be trotting out there against the Cleveland Browns to take the first snap of the game on Thursday.

He’s still getting accustomed to running an NFL offense, and that’s just fine.
