Dwayne Haskins emerged as Redskins’ highest-graded player from preseason finale

He might not be the starter, but Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins did enough to emerge as the team’s highest-graded player in the fourth week of the preseason.

There, Haskins completed 10 of his 17 attempts for 104 yards and a touchdown before exiting the eventual losing effort against the Baltimore Ravens.

The big grade comes from Pro Football Focus: “The Redskins highest graded player on offense last night (minimum 25 snaps) was QB Dwayne Haskins who finished with an 80.5 overall grade. ”

It indeed was a superb showing for Haskins, who seemed to have no problems with huddle control and executing the offense. As always, it’s a little hard to judge in something like the fourth preseason game but shouldn’t go discredited either.

This won’t change the minds of those who decided to name Case Keenum the starter, of course. But if Keenum struggles against Philadelphia, Dallas and Chicago to start, Haskins might get a chance to see if he can have this sort of performance against the ones sooner than expected.
