Atalanta star Duvan Zapata appears to be open to a transfer to Arsenal despite links with some of the Gunners' Premier League rivals.
Zapata has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea one of the clubs linked with a move for the 30-year-old centre forward.
That reported interest follows 14 goals and 12 assists in Serie A this season, helping Atalanta into fourth place and on course for another Champions League qualification.
Zapata, who is valued at around £35million by Transfermarkt, has been linked to Chelsea as a possible alternative for Erling Haaland, along with former star Romelu Lukaku.
And Liverpool have also been linked, but it seems Zapata has an interest in one Premier League club, in particular, and it's not either of Chelsea or Liverpool.
“My future in the Premier League? Never say never in football,” Zapata told il Gazzetta dello Sport when asked abbout possible summer interest.
“When I was a kid I was always watching the Premier League – I was an Arsenal fan! I got up early every weekend to watch their games.
“I was in love with Thierry Henry’s Arsenal. In Colombia, we love the Premier League. Who knows, one day I could play there.”
That will be music to the ears of Gunners fans, particularly with forward Alexandre Lacazette's future uncertain heading into the summer with just one year remaining on the Frenchman's contract as of this summer.
Zapata, who has scored 61 and assisted 29 in 119 appearances for Atalanta since his 2018, could be an option for Arsenal either this summer or next should they dip into the market for a frontman.
