
On Jan 22-27, the St Regis Bangkok is to present Michelin-rated Dutch cuisine by Edwin Vinke, chef-owner of two-starred restaurant De Kromme Watergang.
From the tiny village of Slijkplaat, in the Netherlands' picturesque southwestern Zeeland region, Chef Vinke will showcase for the first time in Bangkok his culinary finesse, of which astounds epicures the world over.

De Kromme Watergang was established by Vinke and his wife Blanche in 1993. It was awarded its first Michelin star in 2005 before the second star came in 2011. The restaurant's current rating by Gault Millau is an impressive 18.5 out of 20.
Represented through creatively mind-blowing plates and daring combinations of flavours, Vinke's kitchen expertise and unique cooking perspective is all about three words: pleasure, passion and perfection.
It is inspired by the briny and earthy flavours of abundant natural produce from the ocean and lowland that surround the restaurant. The cuisine thus centres on the freshest, fairest most planet-friendly products available, and from the shortest possible journey from their producers.
Exclusively for guests at the St Regis Bangkok's Jojo restaurant, the renowned Dutch chef will prepare a series of dishes for lunch and dinner.
Among dishes to be showcased are sea bass and razor clams with tarragon, citrus, almond, basil and tomato; North Sea crab and scallops with avocado, pistachio, apple and huacatay (Peruvian black mint); sole and duck liver with Jerusalem artichoke; turbot and sea snails with potato, sea vegetables, seaweed and verbena; and goat cheese with honey, thyme, beetroot, apple and pecan. The meal will be wrapped up with Blanche's spectacular cameo dessert.
A six-course lunch menu is priced at 3,800 baht, or 5,800 baht with wine pairing. An eight-course dinner costs 5,800 baht, or 8,300 baht with wine pairing.
