Dustin Poirier has revealed he could move to welterweight - and beat rival Conor McGregor to a shot at current champion Kamaru Usman.
McGregor has vowed to "spark" the Nigerian when he returns from the broken leg he suffered against Poirier at UFC 264 last month.
Poirier, meanwhile, is expected to challenge lightweight champion Charles Oliveira but has also not ruled out a fight with Nate Diaz.
And the 32-year-old has revealed he would accept an offer to face Usman if it was on the table.
"Of course, I would. Those are some big guys, man. But we'll see; I definitely think I can fight at 170, you know," Poirier told ESPN MMA.

"Honestly, now at 155, my metabolism has caught up. When I was cutting to 145, between fights I would get a lot heavier than now.
"I just think my body and my metabolism are getting messed up holding on to a lot of weight. I would shoot up to 190 when I was fighting at 145.
'Now I don't get even past 182. It was kind of the max I walk around at. But I think I could fight at 170 as well."
McGregor has himself announced his recovery is "going very well" and he could return to action within a year, as he bids to rescue his career after losing three of his last four fights.
He wants a fourth fight with Poirier - and his rival's coach refused to rule out the possibility.
"Who knows, right? Who knows. I mean it's all about entertainment, what people want to see. Money talks," Mike Brown told MyMMANews.
"But he's going to be out for a while, so I don't anticipate it anytime soon, and I think there's some other things that Dustin wants to take care of first.
Will McGregor face Poirier for a fourth time? Comment below
"So I would never say never to anything, but I don't see it in the near future."
With Poirier in a great position after his second consecutive win over McGregor, Oliveira admits he could avoid a clash for his title as "nobody wants to know about a belt".
McGregor, meanwhile, has been advised to avoid a fourth fight with Poirier by fellow two-belt champion Georges St Pierre as it seems like Poirier "has his number".
The Irishman has also revealed that he could try and move up two weight classes to middleweight in the future, branding other fighters "little fools" in the middleweight division and delivering a comparison of his stature to Kelvin Gastelum.
With a lightweight return also seeming likely in the future, McGregor has dropped a hint that he could fight two-time opponent Diaz in a trilogy bout on the fifth-anniversary of their explosive rematch that he won by decision.
