Dustin Johnson is on pace to destroy the PGA Tour lowest round record

Scottie Scheffler joined an exclusive club by posting a phenomenal 12-under par round of 59 on Friday at TPC Boston – but that unbelievable score may end up a few shots above the lowest round of the day.

World No. 4 Dustin Johnson put himself on 59 watch before he even made the turn to the back nine, opening his round with two eagles in his first four holes. He shot a course record 27 over his opening nine holes, with two eagles, five birdies and two pars. At the tenth, Johnson drilled a 13-foot putt to drop to 10-under through 10.

At the 237-yard par-3 11th, Johnson hit a beautiful tee shot to inside 10 feet, then made the birdie putt to extend his run.

Jim Furyk holds the PGA Tour record for low score in a round of 58, which he set in 2016 at the Travelers Championship. Johnson’s lowest score in a PGA Tour event in his career is 61, which he shot earlier this year.

Golf fans were blown away.
