Dusan Vlahovic: Massimiliano Allegri speaks out on Chelsea target as swap rumours emerge

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has insisted he’s happy with Dusan Vlahovic despite rumours of a potential deal to let the striker join Chelsea.

Reports in Italy suggest the Italian giants are considering swapping Vlahovic for Romelu Lukaku plus a fee, with Allegri said to be a big fan of the Blues outcast following transfer talks.

Vlahovic came off the bench to score in Juve’s friendly win over Real Madrid on Thursday night and the Old Lady boss admitted his forward was not delighted to be left out of the starting XI.

“I'm very happy for him,” Allegri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Before the match we decided together that he would come off the bench and play for fifteen minutes. Dusan wasn't very convinced, however it was useful.

“Vlahovic played well, aside from the goal he played well technically and helped the team.”

It has been claimed in Italy that Allegri wants to swap Vlahovic for Lukaku having been unimpressed with his goal record and all-round play since signing from Fiorentina. The Serbian boasts a record of 23 goals in 63 Juventus appearances.

In Orlando, he popped up at the far-post to notch in the 95th minute against Madrid, sealing a 3-1 win for Juve.

Moise Kean put the Serie A side ahead in the first minute before new signing Timothy Weah scored. Vinicius Jr reduced the deficit before half-time yet Juve extended their lead late on and held out for the pre-season victory.
