Dusan Vlahovic latest, Tyler Adams interest - Arsenal transfer rumours ahead of January window

It is now less than two months until the January transfer window.

Considering Arsenal will lose the likes of Thomas Partey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe to the African Cup of Nations in the New Year, technical director Edu could look to the transfer market to fill any gaps in the squad.

The Gunners spent in excess of £140million during the summer transfer window, adding Martin Odegaard, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Nuno Tavares, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale - all of which were 23-years-old or under at the time of signing.

Now, Mikel Arteta's side continue to be linked with a host of names, especially considering centre-forward Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette will both be out of contract come the end of the current campaign.

With all that being said, football.london takes a look at the latest transfer rumours and stories regarding the north Londoners ahead of the January window.

Dusan Vlahovic

Where?

The Express

What?

Vlahovic has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent days, with a number of reports from Italy claiming that Edu is interested in signing the prolific Serbian forward.

However, Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor has now reported that the Gunners are not currently in the market for Vlahovic, a claim that is echoed by Goal's Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts, who took to Twitter to deliver an update on the Gunners alleged pursuit of the Serbian.

Watts said: "Lots of talk about Vlahovic and Arsenal. My understanding of the situation is there have been no negotiations and he is not a target.

"Signing a forward clearly will be high on the agenda next summer, but as it stands he is not one they are looking at."

Who?

Tyler Adams

Where?

SportBild

What?

Arsenal were linked with RB Leipzig star Tyler Adams over the course of the summer transfer window, with Arteta reportedly keen on playing him as an inverted right-back before eventually signing Japanese international Tomiyasu instead.

Now, German magazine SportBild have claimed that Leipzig will not entertain any offers less than the American international's release clause, which reportedly stands at €40million (£34.2million).

The report also claims that Arsenal are still keen on the 22-year-old, who can operate as a defensive midfielder, and could look to sign him either in January or next summer.
