Dusan Tadic claims Scotland will be 'no problem' in final as Serbia star promises a world of pain

Serbia will have 'no problem' overcoming Scotland when they meet in next month's Euro 2020 play-off final.

That's according to Ajax's Dusan Tadic, who will be a key man for the home side when they welcome Steve Clarke's men to Belgrade.

A win for Scotland would see them reach a major tournament for the first time in 23 years, but Tadic is confident after his team's semi-final victory over Norway.

The Norwegians were expected to overcome Serbia in Oslo, but the away side earned their place in the final with a 2-1 win after extra time.

Former Southampton playmaker Tadic, who has been capped 70 times by his country, expects his side to overcome Scotland without many problems.

He said: "We are already preparing for Scotland and looking at analysing them. We want to look at areas where we can hurt them.

"If we want to qualify for World Cups and European Championships, these are the type of teams we have to be beating every time.

"But I know if we play like we did in Norway, then Scotland will be no problem at all for us.

"We were written off, but we proved we can beat the good teams. The pressure was on for us and yet I don't think anyone could deny we were the better side on the night.

"It was almost the perfect performance."

And Serbia keeper Predrag Rajkovic has dismissed Scotland as long ball merchants, ahead of the Rajko Mitic Stadium clash next month.

He said: "Scotland are similar to Norway - they play with long balls all the time.

"And to be honest that would be good to play against because I had very little to do in Oslo. We created so many chances and the defence was excellent.

"We deserved the victory and we want to get to the Euros now by defeating Scotland."
