Durham police seize 1kg of cannabis and thousands of pounds during early morning raid

Police recovered 1kg of cannabis and several thousand pounds after raiding a property.

Officers found the drugs and cash at an address on Hurworth Street, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, on March 2.

Mobile phones and a car were also seized during the raid.

A Durham Constabulary spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing to identify the tenants who no doubt will not be having a good day."
