Chris Rushworth has been a regular fixture in Durham 's bowling attack for almost a decade, after an excellent breakthrough season in 2012 saw him take 38 wickets an average of 16.39.
Since then, Rushworth has helped them win both the County Championship and the One Day Cup, becoming one of the most potent seamers in the domestic game.
At the age of 35, Rushworth is still picking up plenty of wickets, having taken 46 scalps at an average of just 17.97 so far this season - only Nottinghamshire's Luke Fletcher has taken more.
And Rushworth believes that turning vegetarian has played a big part in prolonging his career.
In a video produced by Vertu Motors, Rushworth said: "I'm getting on a bit in terms of sporting age at 35 and I wanted to try something that would extend my career by a few years.
"I changed diet to vegetarian, lost weight and become a lot leaner having a cleaner diet. All-round it makes you feel that little bit fresher every day.
"I run much faster for longer. In the gym I'm lifting heavier weights. To have that extra strength over the course of a six-month cricket season, I think that has made a big difference in the last few years."
"As you get older in your career, every marginal gain you can make makes a big difference in the game. Especially in sport.
"Everything you can do to get that one step ahead of the opposition, you’re going to try and take it."
Earlier this year, Rushworth became Durham's leading first-class wicket taker after picking up his 528th wicket in their win over Worcestershire.
Reflecting on that record, Rushworth added: "When you follow a team or a club and you're from the area, you have that connection with the club itself. You know how much it means to everyone who comes and watches.
"To be part of the academy and come through and overtake some of the greats of the game who've played for Durham, for me to be sitting top of the pile is unbelievable."
