DUP MLA Edwin Poots has resumed his role as Agriculture Minister just weeks after undergoing cancer surgery.
Mr Poots temporarily stepped aside early last month after being diagnosed with a cancerous growth on his kidney.
His party colleague, East Antrim MLA Gordon Lyons, took on the ministerial role in his absence.
Mr Poots returned to the Assembly around two weeks ago following his operation.
The Lagan Valley MLA was joined by Mr Lyons, First Minister Arlene Foster and Assembly Speaker Alex Maskey as he affirmed the pledge of office to resume his ministerial position.
A picture of the reappointment was posted on Twitter by the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Mr Lyons returns to his previous role as Junior Minister.
Mr Poots said it was "great to be back" at his ministerial desk.
He tweeted: "So thankful to be on the right side of treatment, and to the exceptional staff who administered it. Plenty of work to be done."
In January, Mr Poots told how the cancerous growth on his kidney was discovered when he was in hospital in December for emergency surgery to remove his appendix.
