Two men have been charged with shooting another man Monday near a campground in southwest suburban Oak Forest.
Ha Zell Williams and Dashaun Colbert, both 18, are charged with attempted murder for the shooting near Camp Sullivan, according to a statement from the Cook County sheriff’s office.
The 20-year-old Crestwood man was shot about 3:30 a.m. in the 14600 block of Justamere Road, the sheriff’s office said. He went to the nearby campground to seek help and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was stabilized.
Detectives identified Williams, of Englewood, and Colbert, of Oak Forest, as suspects in the shooting, the sheriff’s office said. They were arrested and charged Wednesday.
Judge David R. Navarro set Colbert’s bail at $50,000 during a hearing Thursday, according to Cook County court records. His next court date was set for July 8.
Williams’ court information was not immediately available.
