Dunnes Stores worker praised for little gesture as customer labels her 'credit to the company'

A customer has written to Dunnes Stores to praise a worker in one of their Cork shops.

The man contacted the retail giant on Twitter to tell them of the kindness of a worker in the Carrigaline outlet.

Twitter user Kev labelled the woman a "credit to the company" for helping his wife during a difficult shopping expedition.

He tweeted: "Massive thanks to the lassie in the Carrigaline store this afternoon who temporarily closed her checkout, took my wife's bags out to the car and packed them in the boot due to our newborn screaming and couldn't be settled... She is a credit to the company."

Dunnes customer service team responded to the message and assured the happy customer that his message would be relayed.

They said: "Thank you for the lovely feedback. We will be sure to pass this on to the store management team in our Carrigaline store."

Fair play to this worker and her kindness - have you any stories of retail staff going the extra mile to help you out at this time?
