Dunnes Stores shoppers stopped in their tracks by bizarre picture on pizza box

Dunnes Stores shoppers have been doing a double take after spotting a bizarre picture on pizza boxes.

The supermarket’s Simply Better Italian pizza range has raised some eyebrows over the image chosen for its box.

One person took to Reddit Ireland to share their thoughts, writing: “The way this pizza is cut annoys me each time I see it.”

They attached a picture of the pizza in question which shows it cut up in an unconventional way.

Others took to the comments in agreement, with one person saying: “Brutal pic in all fairness would put me off.”

Another joked: “‘Simply Better’ well at cutting pizza you're not lol.”

However, many agreed that it tastes delicious.

One person wrote: “Picture aside this pizza is outrageously good for a frozen pizza? The base is amazing.”

Another agreed: “Best frozen pizza out there though.”

“It's very good,” a third said.

The Dunnes Stores Simply Better Italian pizza range is currently on offer at €4.

It’s not the first time food pictures have gone viral for the way they’re cut, with one commenter reminding people of a Centra poster that sparked controversy on the internet four years ago.
