Dunnes Stores respond to customers after special offer that's left them 'completely baffled'

Dunnes Stores has had to clarify an "error" on one of their special offers after it left some customers "completely baffled".

A coupon in circulation for the store offers people "€10 off €40", but then continues on to say "grocery shop when you spend €100".

And many customers were confused as to what exactly it meant, do they get a tenner off if they spend €40 or €100...or both?

One customer said: "What is the offer please, I'm completely baffled what this voucher is offering me."

Another added: "Do you know if this is a typo? Do I really have to spend €100 in order to get €10 off €40?"

But Dunnes has reassured customers that you do not have to spend €100 to get just a tenner off €40 - if that even made sense in the first place.

Instead, the offer is simply €10 off when you spend €40, if you have the voucher.

A spokesperson said: "The offer is €10 off €40. Please ignore the spend €100 part on this as it was an error."
