Dunnes Stores recall baby product bought over 4,000 times amid suffocation risk

Dunnes Stores has recalled a baby sleeping bag over fears it could be a suffocation risk.

Parents have been warned to stop using the The Unicorn Sleep & Grow Baby Sleep Bag 2.5 Tog and return it immediately for a full refund.

The product's serial number is 5099011588787, while the style number is 6454486.

Around 4,500 sleeping bags, sold between August 2020 and May 2021, are included in the recall.

It is believed the opening in the neck of the product could pose a suffocation risk to infants and small children.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission told the Irish Sun: "If you purchased one of these products then you should stop using it immediately, and return the product to your local Dunnes Stores shop for a full refund.

"Customers can also contact Dunnes Stores customer service with queries at customerservice@dunnesstores.com."
