An urgent recall alert has been issued for two popular chicken products sold in Dunnes Stores over poisoning fears.
The supermarket has called back all batches of Breaded Irish Chicken Goujons and Sharing Sweet Chilli Irish Chicken Wings due to fears the products were undercooked by the producer.
Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batch, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) said in a statement.
They say: "Dunnes Stores is recalling all batches of its Sharing Breaded Irish Chicken Goujons and Sharing Sweet Chilli Irish Chicken Wings, as the batches may have been possibly undercooked by the producer.
"Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches."
People can contract salmonella food poisoning from undercooked chicken and turkey, with regular warnings issued around Christmas time in particular urging people to properly cook the poultry products thoroughly.
