To stay in pyjamas, or change out of pyjamas? To stay in gym gear, or change out of gym gear? To actually get dressed, or not get dressed at all?
For many of us, nailing our WFH wardobes has proven quite the challenge. But today, as the government has eased its lockdown restrictions ever so slightly, it would appear that we may well be in need of some quick and easy dressing solutions.
I'm talking about the kind of outfit that can be relied upon come rain or shine, which presents a veneer of respectability to the outside world for when we enjoy that picnic in the park or visit to the garden centre. Say hell to dungarees.
While overalls may have been part of fashion's lexicon for a while now, the item has seen its status elevated in recent weeks. Over the last month, fashion search platform Lyst has noted an increase in searches for dungarees and overalls of 34 per cent and 47 per cent respectively.
Dungarees even managed to squeeze their way onto the SS20 catwalks: Alberta Ferreti, Isabel Marant and Salvatore Ferragamo all reinterpreted the style for their shows.
And not forgetting Villanelle, the most lovable villain on television, who has also sported denim overalls in the newest season of Killing Eve. The signs are all pointing towards one thing: that you need to buy a pair of dungarees, and these are the best to know.
